The 2005 AHIS Conference was held from September 28-30 and included both IT
and HealthCare professionals from across Canada. The event focused on the use of
IT applications in the health care industry. Concertia was pleased to present
"Putting Pen to Paper: The Digital Pen in Healthcare".
New digital pens allow clinical workers to continue to use pen on paper and
streamline data capture directly from the digital pen through the integration with
complementary technologies. The benefits include improved electronic data capture,
reduced errors, reduced workflow cycle times, increased clinical worker satisfaction
and, most importantly, more time spent in front of the patient rather than in front
of the computer.
